The duration of MBBS/MD in all European universities is 6 years. This uniformity is due to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) prevailing in Europe.

Though many universities in Lithuania offer hostels, the likelihood of you getting a hostel room is slim. However, like many smaller European countries, there are numerous private apartments available for rent that Indian students share.

When you rent such accommodation and share it, you will be spending around €200–250 per month. These apartments are generally let to students so you will find all amenities like cooktops, study tables, etc.

MBBS in Lithuania Tuition fees

The tuition fee in Lithuania falls on the higher side. The universities that we mentioned above will cost you between €11,000 and €12,000 per year. There will be some other expenses, including the Registration fee, visa extension fee, medical insurance, etc. This will be around €3,000 in 1st year and around €300 in subsequent years, for 5 years.

So, you may end up spending roughly €75,000 to €80,000 for the entire degree as the education cost.

The eligibility in the Lithuanian universities varies, and the above 2 universities also look for different criteria. The main difference is in the requirement for PCB scores in Class XII. The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Faculty of Medicine entertains applications with a minimum Class XII score of 50% in PCB.

However, to apply to the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine, you need to have a minimum score of 80% in PCB in Class XII.

Other eligibility criteria include your age, which must be between 17 and 25 years old. You must have qualified for NEET.

Most importantly, Lithuanian universities ask for TOEFL or IELTS scores at this point in time. However, this criterion is under review, and you will need to confirm at the time of application.
