Let’s Face it.. NEET is just around the corner..

I can completely understand the mix of excitement and anxiety that comes with it. Every year, the stakes seem to get higher, and the exam tougher.

But how tough exactly?

Let’s find out!

2024 Total Registrations : 25 Lakhs+

Increase over 2023 NEET registtrations : 4.20 Lakh

Total Medical college Seats Available : 1,08,940 seats

Does this mean NEET 2024 is going to be super tough?

Quick Answer? No – None can tell this exactly as NTA has no pattern.

Here is the deal.. paper is always moderate, if someone is saying that tough or easy then he or she is lying.

If you speak with any topper; he would always says that paper was moderate with some of it being easy and some, tough.

But here is what you need to remember —

  • The exam is same for everyone, if a few sections are tough then it is tough for all, if it’s easy then it’s easy for all.
  • Never loose hope – if you can’t solve two or three consecutive question, that’s okay.
  • Have Faith in your self that what you have revised or studied will appear in exam.
  • Some questions are always either easy or tricky, so do multiple revision of your short notes.
  • Keep all these things in your mind and keep going.

Okay But what are the chances that you will get a medical Seat?

Literally it is 108940/2500000 or 0.04 or 4% (Approx)

To score under AIR 20,000

Your chances are < 1%

is this good news or bad news? – Depends on how you look at it. Do you see the glass half full or half empty?

And there is another thing you need to be aware of, which is very crucial in deciding whether you get a seat or not, It is the Reservation quota.

In every state, 85% of seats are reserved under State Quota candidates and NEET 2024 reservation criteria for them is decided by the concerned state authorities.

Out of total seats in all government MBBS/BDS colleges, 15% will be reserved for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. The seats under the 15% AIQ scheme will be allotted through NEET-UG reservation criteria.

I know all of this creates a lot of pressure and we have gone through this ourselves.
